Adventures Preschool Pennant Hills

Project Works Design was engaged by Shayne & Nerrilee Lysaght to design a 66 place childcare centre in the Hills District of Sydney. The project was design to reflect the existing streetscape and design features of the established residential area it is located in. The design of the development incorporated elements that support early childhood learning philosophies that provide educationally appropriate and stimulating programs to assist in the development of the whole child, their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, creative and moral growth. In addition, the development provides large indoor and outdoor learning areas as well as an expansive outdoor play area. The site had numerous constraints including an onsite watercourse which is controlled by the NSW Office of Water, 1 in 100 year flooding and overland flow issues and disabled access due to the slope of the site. These issues were successfully addressed prior to the lodgment and subsequent approval of the planning application.

The project was completed in 2016 and has been successfully operating at capacity ever since
