Hornsby Preschool

Project Works Design was engaged to design a 60 place childcare centre in the Hornsby District of Sydney. The project was design to enhance the existing streetscape and design features of the established area. The design of the development incorporates elements that support early childhood learning philosophies that provide educationally appropriate and stimulating programs to assist in the development of the whole child. In addition, the development provides large indoor and outdoor learning areas. The site had numerous constraints including a significantly sloping site, a corner allotment and significant setback requirements. Consequently, the building contains 3 levels, basement, ground floor play rooms and outdoor play areas and first floor play rooms and outdoor play areas.
