The Cafe

The Café is located within the Vietnam Veterans Keith Payne VC Hostel and caters for the needs of the residents and their families. It provides a venue where families can go and visit with their loved ones who reside in the aged care facility in a relaxed and friendly environment. The café provides all the usual food and beverage options for its patrons and visitors but provides additional facilities as well. The café has a library which is well stock and provides books that are appropriate and relevant to the residents. Amongst the library shelves are Perspex ‘Memory Boxes’ which contain memorabilia from the days when the residents were a little younger which assist them in maintaining their connection with their past. The café also provides a computer and internet access for all residents and visitors to utilise.
